Vice President of Sales
With over 24 years of industry experience, Frear oversees the company's group, leisure, catering sales strategies and programs as well as corporate revenue management and distribution strategies, as vice president of sales. Frear leads a team of seven sales executives who welcome back year after year corporate and executive retreats from companies such as Mazda, Merrill Lynch, Anheuser Busch, Institutional Investors and Pacific Life.

Prior to joining Montage he served as regional director of sales & marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, overseeing nine resorts in the southwest region including such properties as The Phoenician in Scottsdale; the St. Regis in Aspen; The Wigwam Resort in Phoenix; and the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, CA. He steadily climbed the ranks to this position from a national sales manager at the company's flagship resort, The Phoenician. Frear was awarded the ITT Presidents award in 1997 as Director of Group Sales for The Phoenician. This award is given out annually to top executives and their contributions both to business and community.

Frear held the position of national sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and The Pointe Resorts in Phoenix, Arizona in his early career. Attended Arizona State University in Tempe and has served on several hospitality and tourism boards throughout his career including; Arizona Chapter of Society of Incentive Travel Executives Hospitality Committee, Hospitality Committee for the Fiesta Bowl, Scottsdale Visitors

As director of sales for Montage Laguna Beach, Bob Mitchell supervises the day-to-day operations of the resort sales team. In addition, he handles the Orange County, Los Angeles and East Coast territories. He was previously the director of sales for The Phoenician in Scottsdale, AZ. Prior to that, he served as national sales manager for Pointe Resorts and held various operational roles for Hyatt Hotels.

As a national sales manager, Bud Campbell handles Northern California, the Pacific and Continental Northwest territories. He began his 15-year hospitality industry career as a chef in Santa Cruz and San Francisco. He then took his culinary talents to Taipei, Taiwan to open a restaurant. >From there, he moved into operations and opened restaurants at the Hyatt Regency Guam in Micronesia; and at the Mauna Lani Resort in Hawaii. He most recently served as a regional sales manager for Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara.

Kurt Diekhoff handles the Midwest and the national insurance and incentive markets for Montage. He was previously a sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and also held similar positions for The Westin Resort St. John Resort and Villas in the Virgin Islands and the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa in Hawaii. He is a member of SITE, ICPA and MPI.

As a national sales manager, Molly Morton handles the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and South Central territories, as well as San Diego County. She joined Montage in December 2003 after serving in similar positions for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in San Diego and Dallas. Previous experience includes various management positions at the Hotel Adolphus in Dallas, TX; the Sydney Renaissance Hotel in Sydney, Australia; and at Perivolas Traditional Houses on Santorini, Greece.
